Monday July 5 is the last day of the extended July 4 holiday weekend. If you have a fireworks hangover, come on down to Whiskey Island and spend the day. Check out the new Whiskey Island connector from Edgewater Park, which just opened, as you enjoy the lake breezes.
The Whiskey Island Still & Eatery serves food and drink, while two of the area’s most popular reggae-based bands play music that has summer written all over it. Outlaws I & I, featuring vocalist Butchie B, plays from 1-3pm; Carlos Jones & the P.L.U.S. Band take over the stage from 4-6pm. There’s no cover charge.
