Cuyahoga River Rally Offers a Day of Water-Oriented Fun

Sat 6/19 @ 9AM-5PM

Remember when summer weekends were so crammed with events of all types it was hard to decide what you wanted to do?

We’re back there. While the city celebrates its first-ever major Juneteenth Festival on Mall C from noon-10pm, down in the Flats at Hart Crane Park the Cuyahoga River Rally will be taking place from 9am-5pm.

It will offer all sorts of river-oriented fun, including river history bike, boat and walking tours, kayaking, and riverside yoga classes for both kids and adults. The festival village will have live music (Liz Kelly @ 12:30pm, Jul Big Green @ 1:45PM, Eric Levine Band @3pm and Front Porch Lights @4:15pm), hands-on activities, and information tables from event partners including Canalway Partners, Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District, Upcycle Parts Shop, TAKE A HIKE, PHASTAR & Davis Aerospace and Maritime High School, Cleveland Amateur Boatbuilding and Boating Society, Cleveland Metroparks Watershed Volunteer Program and more. You can even see the legendary Putzfrau, which used to ply the river in the 70 and 80s, cleaning up debris.

The event is free and no tickets or registration is required. However advance registration IS required for tours and yoga classes, due to limited space. You can find a full schedule of events and times and make reservations here.
