Through Sun 5/16
Waterloo Arts’ annual juried show gives local art lovers a chance to see new work by artists from across the U.S. and Canada — this is the seventh year the show has invited artists from around the country (as well as local artists) to submit. Unfortunately, because of COVID and other commitments, it’ll be a smaller show, taking place only at Waterloo Arts Gallery, and not including Praxis Fiber Workshop and Brice Ceramic + Design Spaces, also in the Waterloo Arts District.
So the jurors should have an exceptional hard time choosing the best of the best. But if you think that might be you, submissions are open no through Sunday May 16. Not only will the accepted artists be competing for more than $1,500 in cash prizes, but Waterloo Arts offers all accepted artists a small stipend to cover shipping costs.
Accepted artists will be notified around July 1. The show runs from Friday 8/6-Sat 9/18. Find more information including submission details here.
