The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has announced a new national competition in partnership with the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company called “From Garage to Glory.”
Now through May 16, both solo artists and bands (amateurs only!) anywhere in the U.S. are invited to submit an original song and the story about what inspired it. A panel of judges will pick three finalists, and music fans will have the chance to listen to and vote online for their favorite June 21-July 16. In October 2021, the winner will get to perform live at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Fest in Cleveland, in addition to winning $10,000 and the chance to attend the induction ceremony.
