Chilean Guitarist/Singer Shares Music From Around the World

Sun 4/11 @ 2PM

We may not have been able to travel much in the last year, but Zoom had let us travel all over the world. And there’s no better way to do so than through music.

Chilean guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Ricardo Parra specializes in South American folk music, including Brazilian bossa nova, along with blues, jazz and international music from all over including traditional British folk and Cuban trova.

Parra will be performing a concert through the Hudson Library and Historical Society in which he’ll offer a tour of many of those styles, including traditional favorites “Scarborough Fair” and “Greensleeves,” Gilbert & Sullivan’s “My Favorite Things” and some of his own compositions.

The free concert premieres on the Hudson Library’s Facebook page on Sunday April 11 @ 2pm. No registration is needed to listen. It’ll be on the library’s YouTube channel for streaming after that.
