Look: there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, and as our president told us last week, if we all get the vaccine when we can, take precautions, and don’t jump the gun on trying to get back to normal, it will happen faster.
So we don’t want to see any of you stuffing yourself into a packed Irish bar on St. Patrick’s Day, getting drunk and shouting to the music with hundreds of your new best friends. Instead, find an online concert, pour yourself a Guinness at home and find an online concert to enjoy safely with your family or a handful of close friends, such as the one that will be performed by local jazz pianist Rock Wehrmann and vocalist Carol Leslie. Both are familiar faces around the area music scene, with Wehrmann having performed with ensembles such as the Cleveland Pops Orchestra and Cleveland Jazz Orchestra, and Leslie appearing regularly at venues such as Nighttown and the BOP STOP.
The duo will provide an hour of live music, a mix of Irish and American favorites that you can sing along with without fear of virus spewing into the air to infect others — or yourself. It’s free although of course you are welcome to make a donation. Tune in here.
