Heights Arts gallery and its presentation of the work of area visual artists is its most prominent program. But it’s also long presented chamber music concerts, both in its gallery and in other settings such as people’s homes.
Obviously, that’s not viable right now, but it’s announced its latest Close Encounters concert series anyway — with the concerts to be live streamed from the BOP STOP.
They kick off this week on Saturday January 30, with a program called OMNIpresence with Obligat’OBOE. It features three members of the Omni Quartet (and members of the Cleveland Orchestra) violinist Jung-Min Amy Lee, violist Joanna Patterson Zakany and cellist Tanya Ell. Cleveland Orchestra Principal Oboist Frank Rosenwein will play oboe solo works by Oslo-based Lithuanian contemporary composer Povilas Syrrist-Gelgota.
Tickets are $25 and up; $20 for Heights Arts members; $10 for students.
