Cleveland’s new Pivot Center for Arts, Dance and Expression in the Clark-Fulton neighborhood appears poised to become a vibrant hub for the arts, with commitments from such existing organizations as Inlet Dance Theatre, the LatinUs theater group, the Intermuseum Conservation Association and the Cleveland Museum of Art to take space in the building.
Now a new organization has been announced that will also be a tenant in Pivot: Future Ink Graphics, which describes itself as “a makerspace for professional, emerging and student graphic designers and digital and silkscreen artists.”
Similar to organizations such as Zygote Press, Praxis Fiber Workshop and the Cleveland Print Room, FIG will offer space and equipment for artists to work, educational programs, including classes and workshops, professional development services to help artists develop their businesses, and opportunities for the community to participate in creativity. It will also have both a storefront and online shop to sell work created by artists at the facility.
