Dancing Wheels presents one of the first live-and-in-person performances of 2021 when they return to Breen Center for the Arts in Ohio City with their holiday-themed ballet, The Snowman. Sure, it’s a little late but who doesn’t need to keep the holiday spirit going a little longer? The story tracks a young boy and his snowman sidekick in a journey where they meet dancing penguins, snow people and various woodland creatures.
In keeping with the company’s vision, the piece will blend wheelchair and stand-up dancers, both company members and members of the School of Dancing Wheels’ Performance Ensemble, but it will also sign the performance to for even more inclusiveness.
The live audience will be socially distanced, but if you’re still not comfortable, the performance will also be live streamed. Tickets are available at dancingwheels.org.
