Wed 10/14-Thu 10/15
More than a decade ago, the city of Cleveland launched its Sustainable Cleveland 2019 initiative to engage citizens in exploring different ways to make the city more environmentally friendly Each year was devoted to another aspect of sustainability, culminating in a fall summit where participants assessed the year’s successes and brainstormed ideas for the upcoming year.
But there’s still more to do, so the work goes on. The Sustainable Cleveland annual summit takes place October 14 and15, but this year it’s virtual. The two days will feature remarks from Mayor Frank Jackson kicking things off on Wednesday morning at 9:30, a progress report, keynote addresses, awards and recognitions, networking, a film and many panel discussions on issues ranging from clean energy to carbon capture to air quality to plastic pollution to food insecurity to access to green space.
