PHOTOSTREAM: Voters Turn Out for Early Voting in Cleveland by Anastasia Pantsios

10.25.2020 Early Voting at BoE

Sun 10/25

The line to get into the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections at East 30th and Superior reached form Euclid to Chester, turned the corner, went past the freeway and extended almost to East 24th street by mid-afternoon. And of the hundreds of people in line, all but perhaps a dozen were masked.

And the mood was festive as a DJ entertained from across the street, where food trucks parked to service hungry waiters. A team from Black Voters Matter arrived with large plastic trash cans containing masks, buttons and fans which it passed out to an eager crowd. Candidates plied their campaigns from across the street. And those who emerged from the BoE said that the process as efficient and the waits were not exceptionally long.

You can still vote early at the board of elections from 8am-7pm through Friday October 30; from 8am-4pm Saturday October 31; 1-5pm Sunday November 1; and 8am-2pm Monday November 2. Go here for more information, or if you aren’t in Cuyahoga County, google your county name and “board of elections.”
