Lawyers, Judges & Friends Jam for Justice

Thu 9/17, Wed 9/23, Thu 9/24 & Tue 9/29 @ 7:30PM

If the idea of watching lawyers, judges and law students (and even the CWRU law school dean) pretending to be rock stars and playing their favorite cover tunes appeals to you, you’re probably already familiar with Jam for Justice, the annual fundraiser for the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland, which provides legal assistance in civic matters to those who can’t afford to hire a lawyer.

This festival-style event has been going on for more than a decade, and it will go on this year too — because the need for justice for the non-affluent never ends and the pandemic has made those needs, such as tenant/landlord disputes, more urgent. But not in the same way. Instead eight bands will play virtual concerts on Legal Aid’s Facebook page and website over four evenings.

The event(s) is free, but there are various ways to show your support. You can just make a donation, of course Make a gift at lasclev.org/2020jamtickets or by texting “LAS GIFT” to 216-242-1544. You can also buy a $115 ticket for the 50/50 raffle — only 115 tickets are being sold. Or you can spend $50 on a VP stay-at-home package with a Legal Aid mask and treats to enjoy while you watch,

Bands include, DJ Wolfe Entertainment, Faith & Whiskey, First Offenders, Luke Lindberg and Hung Jury, The No Name Band, Out of Order, Rule 11 & the Sanctions, Six Sometimes Seven and Razing the Bar (Clever names, fellas!)
