Food Demonstration Heads South for Cajun Shrimp and Grits

Chef Tiwanna Scott-Williams was a full-time nurse for a decade before she embarked on her second career as founder of Pearlflower Catering. Now her diverse menus are highly sought after for special events, corporate affairs and benefits. She’s served her food at Rocket Mortgage Arena and the Western Reserve Historical Society.

She’s part of a series of cooking demonstrations called Circle Food Tour, sponsored by University Circle Inc. For each you can order and pick up a kit containing all the necessary ingredients of you can shop yourself from an ingredients list provided the Friday before each demonstration.

Scott-Williams will be preparing “creamy buttered stone ground grits with Cajun spiced shrimp, spicy andouille, peppers, and onions in a Cajun cream sauce garnished with cheese, bacon, and scallions.” Her recipe (and the kits) serve four.
