History on Tap is back at the Western Reserve Historical society but alas, you won’t be able to hang out with your friends and meet new people while zipping on cocktails. You’ll have to mix your own cocktail and fire up that Zoom platform again to join Virtual History on Tap: Pride.

The topic is the history of Cleveland’s LGBTQ+ community, covering such aspects as the creation of the LGBT Community Center, Pride celebrations (such as Pride in the CLE, pictured above in 2019) and the hosting of the 2014 Gay Games. The event features presentations and interviews with experts and special guests and a live Q&A. Among them: a presentation about the LGBT Center’s 45-year history and the things they offer to the community today; a conversation about gay life in 70s Cleveland with John Grabowski speaking with John Nosek and Leon Stevens; and the showing of a video The Victory of Self: The LGBT Community in North East Ohio created for a 2014 exhibit at WRHS.

Tickets are $5, free for WRHS members. Register here.
