After two months closed, the Cleveland Metropark Zoo took its first steps to reopening in May with its “Cruise the Zoo” drive-through tours. Now it’s reopened but obviously it’s got a lot of catching up to do with all that revenue loss. So it’s turned to a tried-and-true crowd-pleaser: dinosaurs (not for the first time!)
No, it hasn’t managed to go to some far-off island and snag live dinosaurs. Dinosaurs Around the World: The Great Outdoors features nearly two dozen giant life-sized animatronic ’saurs ringing Waterfowl Lake, including a two-story Tyrannosaurus Rex. They’re accompanied by educational features about where and how dinosaurs lived. And it’s outdoors, so there’s relatively less COVID-19 risk
It’s $3 in addition to regular admission, which must be reserved and paid for in advance. They’re now taking reservations through July 17. Tickets to Dinosaurs of the World are available on the day you visit.
