While Cleveland-based early music ensemble Les Delices had to cancel or postpone its spring programming (including its large-scale performance, The White Cat, featuring music, dance, puppetry and projections, pushed back from April of this year to fall 2021), it drops in at the Hudson Library & Historical Society — virtually, of course — for a performance called “Les Délices: A Taster” this weekend.
It will offer a sampling of the types of music the group performs in its regular concert, including selections from Marin Morais’s Les Folies d’Espagne, Jean-Joseph Cassanea de Mondonville’s “Gloria” from Venite Exultemis with Quire Cleveland and Jean-Féry Rebel’s Caractères de las danse.
You’ll find the concert streaming on Hudson Library’s Facebook page on Sunday June 7 at 2pm, and after that, on the library’s YouTube page.
