In the last month, Holden Arboretum in Kirtland has opened its 3,600 acres to visitors again to walk its many trails and enjoy the profusion of animals, birds, insects, flowers and trees there. But off in the woods, the Murch Canopy Walk and the Kalberer Emergent Tower, which allow visitors a bird’s eye view of landscape below, have remained tauntingly off limits.
No more! As of Tuesday June 16, they’ve reopened to the public. The Canopy Walk is a 500-foot walkway 65 feet above the forest floor. The Emergent Tower soars 120 feet — about 12 stories — offering a panoramic view all the way to Lake Erie, miles to the north. Face coverings are required to enter both.
Both are included with admission, but a timed entry ticket is required to visit Holden Arboretum. Adults are $15; kids 3-12 are $10. Reserve your time slot here.
