The Cleveland Metroparks’ ongoing online education programming, Virtual Classroom, devotes Wednesday April 22 to the celebration of the 50th Earth Day, offering ideas about ways you can help care for the planet.
The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo kicks off the day at 11am with a segment on how its animal care team trains its seals and sea lions. At 1pm, viewers can take part in a virtual tree planting as experts explain how to plant a tree, how to nurture a seedling and the benefits of native tree species.
In addition the Cleveland Metroparks Virtual Classroom website has more information for you and your kids about things like home composting, invasive plant species and 50 ways you can celebrate Earth Day.
