Last month, Cleveland musician Meganne Stepka organized the 48 Hour Virtual Music Fest, which featured musicians playing one-hour sets online for 48 hours straight. It featured some of northeast Ohio’s busiest and better-known musicians such as Charlie Mosbrook, Zack Friedhof, Taylor Lamborn and Stepka herself, along with the opportunity to discover people you’ve never heard of before.
The event was a hit so she’s doing it again and is promising to do it the last weekend of the month for as long as we’re unable to go out and hear live music in clubs and other gathering places. Each musician fills their slot with their music and story, virtual tip jars and links to their music and merch. So if someone catches your ear, you can support them. Each artist will live-stream from their own personal social media, with a group of moderators sharing the video to the host event page.
The schedule will be posted as it shapes up: you can find it here.
