Artists Archives Hosts Zoom Talks With Members’ Show Participants

Fri 5/1 & Fri 5/8 @ 7PM

Artists Archives of the Western Reserve is currently hosting its annual members show. You can’t go there to see it but you can see (and purchase) the work online: more than 100 works, including painting, drawing, sculpture, , prints, photography and more.

To give art lovers a more in-depth look at some of the artists in the show and their practices, AAWR is hostingHome to Home: Virtual Artists Talks,” online via Zoom on two consecutive Fridays.

In these 75-minute free talks, hosted by AAWR executive director/chief curator Mindy Tousley, artists Margaret Arthur, Herbert Ascherman Jr., Lee Heinen, Rebecca Kaler, Terry Klausman, George Kocar, Stuart Pearl, Gloria Plevin and Judy Takács will offer a look at their studios, their recent work and how they’ve been spending their time in quarantine. The tours will be divided into ten-minute segments

You must register to get the Zoom event link. Go to www.artistsarchives.org where you’ll find the schedule of artists.

There’s also still time to vote for your favorite work, with the four top vote-getting artists getting cash prizes. All you have to do is join the AAWR mailing list here.
