French Classical Pianist Performs Free Concert at Art Museum

French pianist/educator Pierre Reach has won many accolades in his long career. (he’s now 72). In 1971, he won the Olivier Messiaen International Competition, which started him on his way to amassing a long resume of performances, both solo and with orchestras, around the world, and with major festivals. He’s become known for his interpretations of J.S. Bach’s “Goldberg Variations,” which he plays every year. Liszt, Beethoven and French romantic composer Charles Valentin-Alkan are among the composers whose music he’s mastered.

The Tri-C Presents Classical Piano Series gives local music lovers a chance to hear this renowned musician at the Cleveland Museum of Art’s Gartner Auditorium. The concert is free and no reservations are necessary.
