Mark Grgic and Daniel Lippel comprise the contemporary guitar duo called FretX. The two players joined together 2015 after successful solo careers to expend the range of music they could perform. They specialize in contemporary music such as the composers whose works they’ll perform at the Transformer Station: Helmut Lachenmann, Agustín Castilla-Ávila, Courtney Bryan, Gity Razaz and more.
Lippel even has a northeast Ohio connection: he studied at Oberlin Conservatory before earning his bachelors and masters degrees at the Cleveland Institute of Music.
Tickets are $25, $22 for Cleveland Museum of Art members.
