Artists Explore the Nature of Truth at Gallery U

Fri 2/28 @ 6-10PM

What is “truth”? In this era of disinformation and actual information being branded as “fake news” because someone in power doesn’t like it, who even knows anymore?

But Patsy Coffey Kline and Tim Lachina, co-curators of the new show, Truth, at taking place at Kline’s Gallery U at the Hamilton Collaborative, have invited a dozen artists, working in visual arts, music and spoken word, to try to get at some sort of truth about truth itself. Artists include Kline and Lachina, Emma Anderson, Robert Banks, Samantha Bias, Preston Buchtel, Laura D’Alessandro, Kasumi, Raheleh Mohammad, Osman Muhammad, Kristen Newell and Jim Szudy.

At the opening night reception, which is free and open to all, noted local performance poet Raymond McNiece and Tongue in Groove will perform.

There’s also an Art Happening at the gallery Fri 3/27 @ 6-10pm, and a closing reception Fri 4/17 @ 6-10pm.
