By the time Kevin Dugan graduated from Euclid High School in 1972 he had already started his career as a roadie/bass tech to some of the biggest bands in Cleveland including the James Gang, the Raspberries and Rainbow Canyon. Like many of the hard-working, talented crew members who came out of northeast Ohio to work for some of the world’s biggest bands, Dugan ended up moving to the Los Angeles area in 1975. There he worked for artists such as Fleetwood Mac, Bob Welch, Sammy Hagar, the Cult and, most notably, Michael Anthony of Van Halen whom he met in the early 80s and is still working with.
Like last year, while he’s home for the holidays, Dugan will stop by the Music Box Supper Club to share his road tales as part of the Cleveland Stories series. It’s free; dinner is available starting at 5pm. Please make a reservation if you want to eat.
