Sat 1/4 @ 8PM
Akron-based guitarist Neil Zaza has come a long way since he launched his career as a solo instrumental rock guitarist 28 years ago with his debut album Two Hands, One Heart.
He’s released nearly 20 albums since then, collaborated with many outstanding players, and toured the world, with multiple trips to China, as well as to Germany, Poland, Italy, Slovakia, Switzerland, Sweden and Taiwan. He gives lessons and hosts clinics, has his own signature guitar and tablature books and runs his own recording studio in Akron. He has also put together a series of spectacular holiday shows with orchestras and guest musicians, first for Christmas with his popular “One Silent Night” concerts, and in the last two years, for Halloween, with his multimedia “One Dark Night” shows at the Akron Civic Theatre. He’s hinting a something even more amazing for next Christmas.
But if you’d like to hear him before then, or just want to enjoy his outstanding musicianship in a straightforward presentation, he’ll be performing at the Music Box Supper Club. If you are a guitarist or aspiring guitarist, or have a kid who dreams of being onstage wailing with a band some day, you won’t want to miss this show.
Tickets are $15-$30; a $50 VIP ticket includes a post-show meet-and-greet with the affablemusician, a premium seat and a poster.
