Fei Fei is a rising star in the classical piano world. Just 26, she was a finalist in the 2013 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition and winner of the Concert Artists Guild Competition in 2014. She’s the featured performer at this year’s Margaret Baxtresser Annual Piano Concert of the Tuesday Musical Association.
Her program at Akron’s E.J. Thomas Hall will include Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 18, Claude Debussy’s l’Isle Joyeuse, and Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Moments Musicaux, Op. 16, No. 1. At 6:30, prior to the 7:30 performance, concertgoers can meet Fei Fei and learn about the program in a Concert Conversation at EJ’s Flying Balcony, where there’s also a cash bar.
