New Exhibit “Curiosity Carnival” Opens at Great Lakes Science Center

Fri 11/15

There’s something new coming to the Great Lakes Science Center. It’s a special exhibit called Curiosity Carnival, featuring “amazing feats of science.” It’s actually a cavalcade of demonstrations, interactive displays and hands-on activities with a carnival theme and atmosphere that teach scientific principles in such a fun, painless manner kids won’t even realize they’re learning!

So step right up and explore such attractions as a tabletop high wire that demonstrates principles of physics and symmetry; Winging It, where visitors can design, fold and use electric launchers to fly paper airplanes; Clowning Around where they can make a lion’s mane or clown wig from iron filings using magnets; the Rolla Bolla board balancing act; and Topsy Turvy Chairs which challenge them to use weight and gravity to stay upright.

That’s just the start of the many fun things you’ll see on this midway, with performances and demonstrations showing you the secrets behind familiar carnival acts.

Everything is included in regular GLSC admission.
