Cleveland-based Internet radio station oWOW.radio, which emphasizes local music in addition to its diverse playlist of the best contemporary and classic music, which they describe as “the sweet spot between classic rock and indie rock,” has made some changes to their special weekend programming.
BluesTime, hosted by local blues guitarist Alan Greene (The Alan Greene Band. Mr. Stress), will now be heard on both Saturday and Sunday evenings from 9pm-midnight, starting Sat 9/7 and Sun 9/8.
On Sun 9/8 @ 8pm, the station will also debut The Best of the oWOW Happy Hour Concerts at the Music Box. These will feature hour-long rebroadcasts of the station’s summertime live weekly Happy Hour Concerts, hosted by Steve Pappas. They’ll kick off with a concert featuring rapidly rising Youngstown bluesy rockers the Vindys, originally broadcast August 15, 2018. Upcoming broadcasts will reprise shows by artists such as Angela Perley, Carlos Jones and the P.L.U.S. Band, Automatik Eden, Kristine Jackson, the Jack Fords, Alex Bevan, the Chestertons and Rachel Brown.
