On the eve of the air show going on right next door, the International Women’s Air and Space Museum hosts its Labor Day weekend fundraiser, Corks in the Concourse, giving flight-minded people a chance to support this free museum located a Burke Lakefront Airport.
This year’s theme is Island Fly-In Beach Party, so the food stations will offer eats with a tropical flavor. They’ll be enhanced by wines from half a dozen local wineries. In addition, there’ll be music by DJ Tony Slim, air show performers in attendance to meet and mingle with, a silent auction and live raffle, and a photo booth. Guests are invited to come in beach attire.
Tickets are $65 for non-members or $60 for members, which includes wine samples and a commemorative glass, or $45 for designated drivers.
