Dignitaries, members of Cleveland’s Ethiopian community and members of the larger community gathered to dedicate the latest addition to the Cleveland Cultural Gardens, the Ethiopian Cultural Garden. It’s the first one of the century-old set of gardens devoted to an African nation, and the mood was celebratory despite the number of speeches. Once the speeches were over though, the covering was pulled off the beautiful ceramic panel depicting five phases of Ethiopian history and cultural, and people surged to take photos in front of the newly unveiled artwork.
