It’s Time for the Polish Festival at Tremont’s St. John Cantius

Sat 8/31 @ 3-11PM

Sun 9/1 @ 2-11PM

Many people have likely walked by St. John Cantius Church, which fronts on one of Tremont’s main drags, Professor Avenue, without ever stopping.

But the gorgeous interior is well worth checking out, and a good time to do so is the church’s annual Polish Festival. There will, of course, be tons of traditional Polish food made by members of the parish for you to consume and beer to wash it down as you listen to music by Jimmy K & Power Play on Saturday and dance to Lenny Gomulka & Chicago Push on Sunday. Polish folk dancers will perform as well, vendors to check out, and blackjack and maverick tables available. There’s also an English-language mass at 4pm Saturday.
