Convergence-continuum theater in Tremont is holding another of its one-weekend-only “Tweener” presentations, this time offering a pair of one-act plays by influential 20th-century British playwright/screenwriter Harold Pinter, known for his unsettling, surreal works, which depict mysterious and threatening situations, considered part of absurdist theater.
The plays they’ll perform are A Slight Ache, written in 1958 shortly after Pinter made his first splash with 1957’s A Birthday Party, perhaps his best-known play, and 1967’s Landscape. Both plays star actors Robert Hawkes and Anne McEvoy and are directed by Susan Soltis.
Tickets are $20, $15 for seniors 65 and up and students. All proceeds from this weekend go to upgrading con-con’s home the Liminis.
