Another hot day — but not as hot as last year — greeted the annual Waterloo Arts Fest, a neighborhood arts fest to which the whole city is invited. The 17th annual festival featured offerings from the local galleries, businesses and bars (some of them air-conditioned) as well as plenty of street activities: vendors selling art, street performers, participatory art activities, selfie stations, and live music on ten stages, indoors and out. A popular feature is always the Moose sprinkler at the intersection of E. 156th and Waterloo, which drew kids in bathing suits and an occasional adult running through fully clothed.
