Once again, the Doan Brook Watershed Partnership invites community members to join in another session of Storm Drain Stenciling, intended to raise awareness of how our water sources can be polluted.

Volunteers will stencil the message “Lake Erie Starts Here” on curbs along residential storm drains and distribute information about the signage to local residents. The message is intended to remind people that washing things like pet and yard waste, motor oil, fertilizers and pesticides into the storm drain sends them surging into the lake, where they can have bad impacts such as algae blooms.

Meet at the Lower Lake dam at 9:30am for a demonstration and stenciling supplies before groups disperse to stencil streets in Cleveland Heights. Rain date is Sun 7/28.
