By the time the monthly Third Friday for June kicked off, there was already no space to park in the main parking lot. So much going on! We visited Susie Frazier in her nature-based art studio/retail space, which was overflowing with home decor finds she had brought in by artists from around the world. We dropped in some of the artists studio and visited the show by the Hispanic artists organization in the second floor gallery.
And we couldn’t miss the show Beautiful Mess at HEDGE Gallery by printmaker Liz Maugans, whose stunning collages incorporated bits and pieces of print projects she’d worked on as well as debris from her life, as she worked through losses she suffered in the past year via her art.
As we left, we were offered free hand-holding by a young woman stationed in the entrance, a warm and reassuring sendoff.
