Magical Theatre Company Brings Kids’ Book “Charlotte’s Web” to Life on Stage

Magical Theatre Company will bring to life on of our beloved childhood favorites, Charlotte’s Web, which is geared towards families and young audiences. In fact, Magical Theatre is the only professional and touring theater for young audiences in Northeast Ohio. Operating right outside of Akron in Barberton, this theatre company has been bringing the magic of live theater to young people in Northeast Ohio for over 40 years.

Charlotte’s Web has storybook scenery, with a climbable spider web and clever costumes, designed by Magical Theatre’s resident costume designer, Inda Blatch-Geib. The cast is a mix of young professionals, with two youngsters working alongside them. Mallory Dannemiller is a fourth grader at St. Sebastian School and is making her Magical Theatre Company debut playing Fern. Joining the cast from Chicago is Kristin Larsen to play the title role. Many other young professionals with be representing various Ohio cities like Akron, Kent and Wooster.

Magical Theatre Company’s mission is to educate and inspire, as a highly collaborative entertainment resource that partners with schools and other organizations, striving to become leaders in providing a positive cultural service.

See this beloved story in action at Magical Theatre’s space May 3-11. Public performances are Friday May 3rd & 10th at 7:30pm; Saturday May 4th at 2:00pm; Sunday May 5th at 2:00pm & 4:30pm; Saturday May 11th at 2:00pm & 4:30pm. Tickets are $15 & $17 per person. Opening Night (Fri 5/3) tickets are $17 & $19 and include a post-performance reception with wine, cheese, and snacks.
