Next BlueWater Chamber Orchestra Program Features the “Opulent Oboe”

Cleveland’s BlueWater Chamber Orchestra is back with a program titled “Opulent Oboe and Scintillating Symphony,” featuring soloist Martin Nuebert on oboe in Lukas Foss’s 1948 neo-classical Oboe Concerto, a piece that allows the chamber orchestra as well as the soloist to shine.

Also on the program: Beethoven’s Overture to The Creatures of Prometheus and Joseph Haydn’s Symphony No. 103 in E-flat (“Drumroll”).

Tiffany Chang, who has masters and bachelors degree from Oberlin Conservatory and a doctorate in orchestral conducting from the Boston University School of Music, and who has taught at Oberlin and Baldwin Wallace, as well as Berklee Cllge of Music in Boston, conducts the program which takes place at Plymouth Church in Shaker Heights.
