“O Chanukah O Chanukah come light the Menorah!”
And where better to do so than at the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage which is hosting a free, family candle-lighting event on the first night of Chanukah.
Whether you want to reconnect with your Jewish heritage, fellowship with others of your faith or get to know your Jewish neighbors, you’re welcome to attend the event which will including a sing-along of traditional songs led by Temple Emanuel cantor Richard Lawrence and violinist Lisa Martel, holiday crafts and a scavenger hunt for kids, the telling of the Chanukah story and of course, the lighting of the first of the eight candles. There’ll event be a take-home holiday goodie bag.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to tour the Maltz’s special exhibit Israel: Then & Now, which includes the child-focused Storywalk featuring panels from Ari & Abigail’s Passport to Israel and hands-on activities stations.
