Fri 11/30 @ 8PM
Yes, a lot of our inner childhoods cried out this year when we lost Burt Reynolds, Stan Lee, Jerry Lewis, Roy Clark. But for the jazz community the death (at only 49, from kidney-related heart failure) of the great trumpeter Roy Hargrove was particularly sharp. In his short life the Texas native became a regular on the Manhattan jazz scene and fronted the group RH Factor.
Luminaries of the Cleveland jazz establishment will hold a special show at the BOP STOP to commemorate Hargrove’s passing. Works from his ouvre and RH Factor will be performed by Daniel Spearman, Eli Heath, Jake Ford, Benny Bock and Zaire Darden.
Admission is $15.
