Time to get your geek on with details of Akron Comicon. We’re joined by Michael Savene, one of the organizers of the annual event that celebrates the comic art medium and its creators. This comic book art convention is a fan favorite and highlights two of Cleveland’s more popular exports – Superman and The Son of Ghoul! The event will host special panels celebrating the 80th anniversary of the creation of Superman featuring the comic creators and the Siegel & Shuster Society. It’s all happening November 3rd and 4th at Akron’s Goodyear Hall.
Music provided by Cleveland’s Hello Bandit (pictured below), a four-piece that combines fast paced indie rock with its love for prog. The band will performing alongside locals Window Dogs and Discount Nostalgia from Bowling Green on November 3rd at the Coda.
And also new music from Tim Moon (pictured below), an indie pop artist out of Cleveland, blending the high energy piano playing of Ben Folds Five with the big vocals of Queen. He’ll be at Mahall’s in Lakewood on November 16th.
