Art on Madison’s POETRY + reading series is a chance for literature lovers to get up close with a writer and explore his/her work in depth.
This month the star of the show is northeast Ohio’s John Burroughs, who has penned more than a dozen books, including Loss and Floundering this past spring. His freewheeling career has includes such accomplishments as a stint as playwright-in-residence for the Ministry of Theatre at Marion Correctional Institution, a #1 ranked blog on MySpace (!), victory in his first-ever poetry slam and co-founding the Lix and Kix Poetry Extravaganza and almost-annual Snoetry: A Winter Wordfest. He’s also founding editor of Crisis Chronicles Press.
POETRY+ is free and open to all.

Thank you so much, Cool Cleveland! This will also be my 52nd birthday celebration. So we’ll have cake, wine and books too, as well as wonderful art exhibitions by Cathie Joslyn and Ivan Kende. I look forward to hopefully seeing you there!
