Children are fascinated by vehicles, especially those bigger and splashier than mom or dad’s SUV. Summit Metro Parks’ Touch-a-Truck lets kids get close to working vehicles such as police cars and the Akron Children’s Hospital “Air Bear” helicopter. There’ll be trucks of another kind too — food trucks with refreshments available for purchase.

The event, held at the Munroe Falls Metro Park Lake Area is free.
