Slavic Village’s Fleet Avenue Holds a Polka Party in the Street

Sat 7/14 @ 4-10PM

Enjoy a taste of the culture that formed Cleveland’s Slavic Village at the Fleet Street Summer Polka Party, and check out the recent streetscaping on this upgraded major thoroughfare.

The event takes place outside one of the neighborhood’s heritage businesses, Seven Roses Polish restaurant and grocery. There’ll be plenty and food and drink for purchase — szarlotka, a Polish apple pie, is on the menu.

And of course, there will be dancing in the street to polka music — the happiest sound around. Four different bands will provide the soundtrack, and if you’ve never danced the polka, don’t worry: Prime Time Polka host Casey Karbowski will be giving a free lesson.

It’s free and open to all.
