Cleveland Orchestra Plays Schumann’s Spring Symphony at Blossom Music Center

Tonight Finnish conductor/violinist John Storgårds leads the Cleveland Orchestra at Blossom Music Center as they perform a program highlighted by Robert Schumann’s Symphony No. 1 (“Spring”), first performed in 1841.

They’ll also play Benjamin Britten’s Violin Concert with 31-year-old Norwegian violinist Vilde Frang in the solo role, and avant-garde composer George Antheil’s short piece Over the Plains, written in 1945.

Admission starts at $26 for lawn tickets.
