Once again, the Great Lakes Science Center celebrates a holiday with a weekend of themed science experiments and demos.
The two-day Star Spangled Science features explosions, of course. Visitors can watch watermelons getting blown up, and make their own Alka-Seltzer rockets. There are more benign activities to such an learning why some objects sink and others float, or making wearable light-up Duck Tape craft such as a necklace, pin or hat to take home.
It’s all included with admission — $16.95 for adults, $13.95 for ages 2-12.
