Dr. Jackson Katz is an educator, author and filmmaker known for his work around gender, race and violence — work that has never been timelier than it is now. In fact, his latest book Man Enough: Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton and the Politics of Presidential Masculinity (as well as his 2012 book, Leading Men: Presidential Campaigns and the Politics of Manhood), addresses how looking “presidential” has come to be equated with a certain form of manhood that valorizes bullying and violence.
Katz will be speaking at Trinity Cathedral in two programs co-presented with Cleveland State University and the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center. He’ll address the role men play in promoting gender equity and preventing gender violence. They are free and open to the public.
