Soul/R&B/gospel singer/songwriter Donnie Lynee is another talented product of the Cleveland School of the Arts, where she studied classical violin, vocal music and jazz art, and began recording her own tunes. She’s performed at Karamu and released her debut EP Future in Retrospect in 2015, followed by a couple of singles. You can check out one of her tunes, “I’m Yours,” on her website to hear her lovely, light and airy vocals while she floats through a series of landmark Cleveland locations
She’s now got her second EP, Live Now, ready to roll our, and she’ll do so at the Beachland Tavern this week. She’ll be joined by poet/musician/journalist Daniel Gray-Kontar, who founded Twelve Literary and Performative Arts Incubator whose home is right around the corner from the Beachland.
Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 at the door.
