It’s time to dust off those ice skates and head down to Wade Oval where the skating rink opens for the season the day after Thanksgiving when it’s open from noon-9pm. After that it will have regular weekend hours: Fridays @ 3-9pm, Saturdays @ noon-7pm and Sndays @ noon-5pm. During December only it will also be open Wednesdays @ 3-9pm. (It will be open daily 12/18-12/29 for getting those kids on school break out of your hair!)
There will also be special events such as Skate with Santa Sat 12/2 and Sun 12/3, learn to skate classes and more; check University Circle Inc’s website for information and dates. They’ll also have information about discounts at University Circle institutions for skaters.
Don’t have skates? Rentals are just $3, on top of the $2 admission. So much fun for so little! If the weather’s bad, call the hotline at 216-707-5033 to make sure they’re open before heading down.
