The free jazz and freeimprovisation series 1way continues at Go Factory with Taddeo, Blakeslee, Bruce Trio. It features three innovative local improvisers with Anthony Taddeo on drums, trombonist Sam Blakeslee who is also known for his modern big band the Sam Blakeslee Large Ground, and Dan Bruce on guitar. The trio collaborates and writes music that works with combining through-composed sections with free improvisation.
Also performing is Oblique Orchestra, the free jazz collective led by saxophonist Dan Wenninger with a rotating cast of local improvisers to form an ever-evolving free jazz ensemble. They explore spontaneous, improvised sound and musical interaction. Admission is $5.
