Fri 5/5 @ 7-9PM

Twenty-two juniors comprise a collaborative class at the Cleveland Institute of Art which works to prepare young artists majoring in a variety of media for the professional gallery scene. And there’s no better way to learn than hands-on experience. So the class will be presenting a student-run exhibition at Gordon Square’s 1point618 gallery, with an opening reception Fri 5/5 @ 7-9pm.

Titled Fine Print, the work in the show looks at unspoken rules in society. “The sheer diversity of cultural and social backgrounds within our class guarantees the work to be relatable, evocative and politically charged,” says Bria Singer, one of the participating students.

“It’s going to be a breathtaking exhibition!” she assures us. “We have been putting all of our labor and care into making this great.” All are invited to the reception, which is free.
